Representations: 12th Annual Model & Drawing Exhibit
Our 2009 annual architecture exhibit ran from June 26 - July 31 with over 2,000 visitors.
Individuals, Firms and Students submitted over 70 drawings, renderings and models to this year's exhibit.
These are some of the questions we explored:
Drawings and models are representations of the built environment, but they can also be seen as complete works in themselves, works that interact with our imagination in ways that perhaps no real building can. Can the vision they represent tell us something about the buildings we live in? Can they tell us something about the world we would like to live in? How do these representations reflect our environment and how do they differ? Can models and drawings provoke a search for meaning in our built environment?
Our 2010 exhibit has not yet been scheduled, so stay tuned! For more information,
